| "Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with it's practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of it's Creator. Here there is no Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all." Colossians 3:9-11
This "do not lie part" really jumps out at me... to me, the passage is saying we should be completely honest with each other, because we are in the practice of becoming something better (thanks to our creator). What do you guys think?
If we were modernize the last sentence, what would we say? Here there is no _____ or _____.
The question that follows this passage in our study book is "How do you feel about becoming conformed fully to the point where you reflect Christ's own nature?" Thoughts on this? I remember coming across this teaching as a teenager, and I really didn't like it because I liked my own personality. I thought if I was just like Jesus, everyone would think I was wierd and no one would really want to be my friend. My thoughts have changed now, in part because I've disappointed myself alot, and in part because I have a different of understanding Jesus.
Brandon & I are in Fort Worth this weekend, celebrating our fourth anniversary. I'll see you next Wendesday. - Rozie

| Good evening, fellas.
I liked what Horticulture Man had to say last week about spiritual disciplines. "Before the Nasher was developed, it was a set of blueprints. It took alot of planning to make it work - things had to be rearranged."
Now, it's a garden. It still takes maintenance, but it has become something beautiful.
I still feel like I'm in the planning stage in my walk, learning spiritual disciplines, but (perhaps for the first time) now I'm thinking more about the outcome. I want the garden. I've been reflecting about a time recently where I wish I'd had a deeper walk of faith, and plan to write about it on my personal blog, so please check me out here during the next week.
Next week we're going to be talking about being molded into Christ's image. I hope we can have some discussions round here. Anyone up for it?
